Blossom

 Blossom’s main area for concern was her lack of social skills with other  dogs. She was a rescue dog and had never been introduced to other dogs  and felt threatened and anxious at their presence.

Jenny worked hard at  teaching me to read Blossom’s anxiety and arousal, to notice the  negative signs before Blossom reacted. It was crucial that this  behaviour was dealt with in a private and controlled environment before I  took her to public places.

Blossom is a Staffie Cross and they have a  bad enough reputation without the owners of this breed being able to  read the signs and know how to cope with issues should they arise. We  spent time meeting different dogs, learning how to walk properly on the  lead towards other dogs and then away from those dogs when things seemed  like they might get out of hand and generally spending time in the near  vicinity of other dogs.
