HOW IT WORKS
1. Tell me about you and your dog
Complete the online enquiry form with some information about your dog, their history and the concerns you're experiencing.
2. We'll have a free 10-minute discovery call
I'll review your enquiry and arrange a short telephone conversation. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what's happening, answer any initial questions and establish what sort of support may be most appropriate.
3. I'll recommend the right support
Following our conversation, I'll recommend either Triage Advice, a Behaviour Consultation or individual training, depending on your dog's needs.
I'll explain what's involved and the cost before you make any commitment.
4. We'll arrange the next steps
If you're happy to proceed, I'll send you a secure payment link and we'll arrange your consultation or training. Where a veterinary referral is required, I'll explain how to organise this.
BEHAVIOURAL SUPPORT TAILORED TO YOUR DOG
Every dog is different, and the level of support they need can vary considerably. Following our initial discovery call, I'll recommend the service I feel is most appropriate.
Triage Advice
A dedicated 60-minute telephone or video consultation for owners who need professional advice and guidance on a specific behavioural concern.
We'll discuss what's happening, explore possible contributing factors and look at practical steps you can take to help your dog.
For some dogs, this may be all the support that's needed. For others, it can be a useful first step towards a more detailed behavioural assessment.
Behaviour Consultation
For more complex, established or ongoing behavioural concerns, a full consultation allows us to explore the problem in greater detail and develop an individual approach.
This includes:
- A detailed behavioural assessment and face-to-face consultation
- An individual behaviour plan and written recommendations
- Veterinary liaison where appropriate
- Three months of follow-up support by email, text or telephone
One-to-One Training
Where the concern is more about developing skills, confidence or everyday training, individual sessions may be more appropriate.
These are tailored to you and your dog, with the cost agreed before booking.

FREE 10-MINUTE DISCOVERY CALL
An initial conversation to discuss your concerns and help establish the most appropriate support for your dog. There is no obligation to proceed.
TRIAGE ADVICE — £95
A standalone 60-minute telephone or video consultation providing professional advice and practical guidance for a specific behavioural concern.
If a full Behaviour Consultation is subsequently recommended, the £95 already paid can be credited towards the £395 fee, leaving a balance of £300.
BEHAVIOUR CONSULTATION — £395
A detailed face-to-face behavioural assessment, individual behaviour plan and written recommendations, veterinary liaison where appropriate, and three months of follow-up support.
ONE-TO-ONE TRAINING — PRICE ON ENQUIRY
Individual training sessions tailored to your dog's needs. Fees are confirmed before booking.
ADDITIONAL FOLLOW-UP CONSULTATION — £85
Available to existing behaviour clients who need further assessment, practical support or adjustments to their behaviour plan.
Mileage is charged at 45p per mile for the return journey from Sherston, Wiltshire (SN16 0LX). Additional travel time charges may apply depending on location.
Payment is required in advance of paid consultations and training. A secure payment link will be provided once we've agreed the appropriate service.
We are unable to accept direct payment from insurers, although you may be able to reclaim eligible behavioural consultation costs through your own pet insurance policy.
PET INSURANCE
Some pet insurance policies cover behavioural treatment provided by an appropriately qualified behaviour professional, usually following veterinary referral. Cover, exclusions, excesses and claim limits vary between insurers and individual policies.
We recommend checking with your insurer before booking to confirm that your policy covers behavioural treatment and that the proposed service is eligible for reimbursement.
We can provide an invoice and relevant documentation to support an insurance claim. However, reimbursement is subject to the terms and conditions of your individual policy, and Positively Dogs cannot guarantee that a claim will be accepted.
VETERINARY REFERRAL
A veterinary referral is required for full Behaviour Consultations.
Behavioural changes can sometimes be associated with pain, illness or other medical factors, so it's important that your dog's health and relevant clinical history are considered as part of the assessment.
You don't need to organise a referral before making an enquiry.
Following our discovery call, if a full Behaviour Consultation is recommended, I'll explain what's needed and how to arrange the referral with your veterinary practice.
